covid summary

The U.S. economy has regained about half the jobs lost from February to April. When COVID hit the jobs lost in the U.S. were 22 million.

Top officials have warned that with more COVID cases being reported, the economy is not likely to get on track until the spring of 2021. The increase in cases is a disturbing trend. Most of the cases have been reported in the Midwest: Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.

As of Wednesday (10.21.20), the U.S. had 8.3 million cases.

Will a new stimulus package be passed before the election? It is still possible, but with local and state funding in the mix, the window for passage is closing quickly.
